The UFIA 2018 Annual Conference and Celebration will be held on August 22nd at the Davis Conference Center in Layton, UT. New officers and directors will be elected to lead the organization. Doug Allen, retired CEO of Blue Mountain Foods in Monticello Utah, will be inducted into the Utah Food Industry Hall of Fame. Greg Jones, Corporate Pharmacy Supervisor at Harmons will also be recognized with the industry’s Impact Award for his outstanding work in combating the opiate abuse crisis in Utah.
International speaker, author and time management guru Dave Crenshaw will be the keynote speaker for the conference and former two-time GOP Presidential nominee Mitt Romney will speak at the conference (schedule permitting).
The Utah Food Industry Association will be hosting its annual best bagger contest to crown the 2018 state bagging champion. The champion will win an all expense paid trip to San Diego to represent Utah and compete in the National Best Bagger contest in February of 2019.
